Appeals and Giving

St Mary Magdalene church  Donate now to Keyworth Parish Church via give a little.

From time to time we will post notices and appeals here on behalf of some charities that the our church or congregation are supporting:

Audio Visual and Service Broadcast System Appeal

For several years the PCC has aspired to extend the accessibility and nature of worship by the use of a modern audio visual system (AVS). The Covid-19 pandemic has brought more focus upon this as the video recording and live streaming of regular services has become an essential aspect of our church life. A recent legacy and careful stewardship of our resources means that first part of the system has been installed, allowing us to stream Services form St Mary Magdalene, so you can log into it from the main welcome page each Sunday. The appeal for contribution pledges towards the total cost of the project of around £15,000 was attained. Thank you to all those who contributed.

Keyworth Community Projects - Food Bank (From May 2020 to the present day)

Keyworth Parish Church is pleased to announce that it has made an initial grant to Keyworth Community Projects specifically to support their new Food Bank project. We continue to collect items for the food bank and launched a Christmas appeal to support vouchers for those who use the food bak and purchase items to make their Christmas special. These were co-ordinated by  Shelley Millband and her team good luck with this venture.

New Door Project. The New Door has now been installed, our thanks to the donors.

The Friary

The Friary has stayed open throughout this pandemic as frontline support to help local homeless & vulnerable people at this very stressful time. They offer “at the door” practical support at the Drop-in and welfare advice and emotional support. Many rough sleepers have been given temporary hotel accommodation by the local council to keep them and others safe from catching the virus but it hasn’t been possible or practical to offer everyone accommodation. Many  people are still coming to the Friary for support.
